Falmouth Real Estate

Falmouth is a coastal town on the southwestern, or upper portion of Cape Cod. Recognized as one of the best walking towns on Cape Cod with a long Main Street set against a backdrop of charming shops, Falmouth also is known for Falmouth Heights Beach, a picturesque sweep of sand on the Nantucket Sound.

With its close proximity to Woods Hole where ferries run regularly to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, Falmouth makes it easy to sample island life. Woods Hole is also home to the world-renowned Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute as well as the iconic Nobska Lighthouse at the town’s southern tip.

As one of the few Cape resort towns that stays open year-round, Falmouth’s villages each offer various lifestyle options from beachfront homes to neighborhoods that are closer to town and other amenities. North Falmouth and Hatchville are a short drive from the Bourne Bridge, well-positioned for commuters to Boston or Providence.

Menauhant is a Magical Place

One of the earliest summer resort colonies on Cape Cod, Menauhant of East Falmouth is truly a magical place. While the historic summer spot dates back more than a century, it’s not hard to see decades later what makes the location so special. Plans for the summer colony first emerged in the late 1800s, planned out for 700 small lots. Bordering Eel Pond, Vineyard Sound and Bournes Pond, it wasn’t long before people started flocking to Menauhant during the summer months, especially from... Read More

Old Silver Beach: Beloved for Generations

Photo: Drew Bryden As one of the most visited beaches on Buzzards Bay, Old Silver Beach has been a “must-go” destination for generations. It’s not uncommon to come across adults who’ve been coming to the beach for years, some of which have come back on a regular basis since they were children themselves. On some days you’ll find a line of cars waiting to park well before the gates even open in the morning. It’s no wonder that the cars are lined up, as the beach parking lot often overfl... Read More
