Pleasant Bay Harwich
Pleasant Bay in East Harwich is a small stretch of shoreline that is shared by four towns on the Cape, including Harwich, Chatham, Orleans, and Brewster. Located east of Route 28 and bordered to the south by Chatham, Pleasant Bay Beach is on a sheltered bay, protected from the Atlantic Ocean by the barrier island that is home to the Cape Cod National Seashore.
Ideal for a walk along the shore or a quiet day observing the water, Pleasant Bay is not well-suited for young families as it doesn't have lifeguards, snack bars or restrooms. Visitors can swim in the bay and take advantage of nearby boat launches while enjoying the raw natural beauty of the Cape without the crowds. Pleasant Bay is also home to the acclaimed Wequassett Resort & Golf Club, with its 120 lavish guest rooms, private beach, golf and tennis facilities.
A small number of charming, traditional beach cottages offer expansive views of Pleasant Bay with direct beach access just steps away.
Pleasant Bay is located off Route 28 in East Harwich.
